Eleanor J. "Pidge" Snyder

SAUGERTIES...Eleanor J. "Pidge" Snyder, 101, of Esopus Creek Rd., died Saturday, March 16, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Saugerties on September 9, 1922 to the late Irving and Emma Griffis Gardner. She was a member of the Reformed Church and a visual aide teacher at Saugerties Junior Senior High Schools.   She was also a former Cub Scout Leader and a volunteer at the Council of Churches Well.

She was predeceased by her husband LeRoy; son Richard; sister, Emma McCarthy; brother, Richard Gardner; step mother, Nita Gardner; nephew, Jack McCarthy; brother in laws, Cliff and Edward Snyder; sister in law, Helen Gardner and Florence Snyder. Eleanor is survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10 am Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., Saugerties. Burial will follow in the Mt. Marion Cemetery.
