Charles W. Meiswinkel, Jr.

SAUGERTIES…. Charles W. Meiswinkel, Jr., 54, of Jane St. died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Kingston Hospital after a brief illness. Born March 25, 1964 in Kingston he was the son of the late Charles Sr. and Rose Meiswinkel. He was employed for over 25 years at Morgan Linen Co. in Saugerties. Charlie was a active Member of the Saugerties Fire Dept., a Life Member and Trustee of the CA Lynch Fire Co. Many a Christmas morning Charlie would be found on the back of the CA Lynch Truck, doing what he loved, distributing candy to the children in the Village of Saugerties as Santa Claus. He was also a member of the Royal Order of Nut Busters.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn, 1 Daughter: Tracy Meiswinkel, and children: Danielle, David and Jenna Weaver and Grandson,Kenneth Wells, Jr. 4 Sisters: Edna Meiswinkel, Marie Farrell, Kate Mastandrea and Ruth Quick.

His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 7:00 – 9:00 PM . Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family @SeamonWilseyFuneralHome
