Margot Bornschein

SAUGERTIES…. Margot M. Bornschein,  82,  of Birchwood Dr. South died Monday, July 16, 2018 at her residence.   She was born on December 4, 1935 in Germany and a Saugerties area resident since 1977 having previously resided in the Bronx.

Margot was a former shoe model in NYC for Palazzo Shoes and once relocating to upstate New York she was employed at National Micronetics and the ARC of Ulster County.   She loved to exercise and belonged to Fit Lady, Mac, and Planet Fitness over the years. She was a member of the Women’s Club of Saugerties.

Survivors include her sisters, Imtrud Oswald and Jolantha Kohler, a nephew, Edward Kohler, godsons, Matthew and Dylan Holmes and dear friends, Dorothy Cappello, with whom she resided since moving to Saugerties and Sue Frasch of Lake Katrine.  She was predeceased by her parents, sister’s, Uta, Ingrid and brother, Freddie all whom resided in Germany prior to their death.

Her Funeral Service was held privately with interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saugerties.    Arrangements were under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts.   Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.
