SAUGERTIES…. Robert A. Sylvester, 83, of 155 Main St. died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home. Born January 13, 1935 in Brooklyn he was the son of the late Alfred and Grace Sylvester. A Veteran of the US Army he served during the Korean War. He was employed for many years as a tug boat operator.

Survivors include his wife, the former Rose Newman. 1 Son: Clayton Sylvester. He was predeceased by 2 Brothers: Alfred and Jack Sylvester. His Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family with burial and military honors by the Saugerties American Legion Post in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
