Stewart Christianson

Stewart C. Christianson, 88, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home.   Born January 14, 1930 in Brooklyn he was the son of the late Stewart and Edith Christianson.  An area resident since 1973 he was formerly of Wantagh, NY.   For over 20 years he was employed as the Manager at the Saugerties Lumber Co. on Ulster Ave. retiring in 1993.

            An avid golfer he held memberships at the Sawyerkill and Palenville Country Clubs.   He was also a member of the Saugerties Bowler’s Club Monday Nite Mixed League and a member and former council member of the Saugerties Atonement Lutheran Church.

            Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, with whom he recently celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary; thrree daughters: Bonnie (Richard) Kudlacik of Cairo, Linda Hanifin of Schenectady and Diane (Michael) Friedmann of Saugerties; son, Eric Christianson of Highland, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.   He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth.

            His Funeral Service will be held 8:15 PM Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-8:15 PM.  Memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of your choice. Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on Stew’s Tribute Wall @SeamonWilseyFuneralHome
