Virginia L. Aspinall

SAUGERTIES…. Virginia L. Aspinall, 75, of Elm St., died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Kingston City Hospital surrounded by her family.   Born December 16, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mabel Oberst Larish.

            A Saugerties area resident for many years she was formerly employed at the Chase Manhattan Bank in Saugerties and later for over 15 years at Schneider’s Jewler’s in Kingston.   In her spare time she was an avid gardener, loved to cook, travel and spend time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

            Predeceased by her husband, Ed, survivors include her daughters, Michelle (Chris) Dodig of Lanesboro, MA. and Jonelyn L. Aspinall of New Paltz; brother, Carl Larish of Shandaken; sisters,Phyllis Billard of Rochester and Shirley Leslie of White Mills, PA.; grandchildren, Erin and Grace Dodig; several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Evelyn, Bonnie and Larue Larish.

            Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts.  Burial will follow in the Blue Mt. Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  Family suggests donations made out in her memory to be sent to Mountain Top Arboretum, 4 Maude Adams Rd., Tannersville, N.Y., 12485. The family also encourages those in attendance to wear bright colors or floral patterns in honor of Ginger’s love of flowers.
