Al T. Pranis, 80, died Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY. Born February 1, 1946, in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Alexander and Evelyn Pranis.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during the Vietnam War. He worked as an industrial electrician at Huck Manufacturing in Kingston, NY.
Al was an active member of Morning Star Christian Fellowship in Kingston since 1978. He attended meetings, reached out to others, and provided resources. He had an evangelical calling and was a light wherever he went.
He was predeceased by a brother, Philip Pranis and a daughter, Stephanie Pranis. Survivors include a daughter, Allyson DeCicco of Kingston; a sister, Marilyn Boyle of Charlotte, NC; and a nephew, Christopher Pranis of St. Augustine, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at noon at Morning Star Christian Fellowship, located at 83 E. Chester St., Kingston.
Interment Services will be held at New Paltz Veterans Cemetery on March 25 at 1:00 PM.
