Alan Braun

Alan Braun, 97, of Summers Lane died Sunday, May 16, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.  Born September 26, 1923 in Flushing Queens he was the son of the Leo and Helen Braun.  A veteran of World War II he served in the US Navy Band.    He earned his Masters Degree of the Arts from Columbia University.   A lifelong professional musician in addition to his career as a performer Alan was National Music Director for Young Audiences, Inc., a founding director of Music Camerino, an international chamber music festival in Italy; and was a faculty member of Mannes College and director of its preparatory division.

His funeral Service will be held privately.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc., Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.
