Obituary


Alan L Tompkins born 1945 in Saugerties, NY to the late William Sr and Lillian (Brooks) Tompkins.  Predeceased by one brother William Jr and 1 sister Lillian O'Dell.  Survived by his partner Geraldine (Conti) Lundy.

Father of five children Susan Anderson of Saugerties, Scott Budik of Saugerties, Traci Herrera of Palmdale, CA, Alan Tompkins Jr of Kempner, TX, Teri Tompkins of Saugerties.  Also survived by nieces; nephews; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lifelong area resident that worked for many years building houses.  Alan then became a truck driver working for Miron, Cranesville Precast and Probuild.  He was also a lieutenant with Ulster Hose Fire Department in the 1980's.  Alan enjoyed old western movies, fishing and outdoor camp fires.

Friends and family will be received at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, 45 John Street, Saugerties, for visitation on April 29 from 2-4PM.  Burial of ashes will be at Blue Mountain Cemetery directly after visitation.
