KINGSTON…. Albert J. Scarselli, Sr., 80, of Ulster Gardens Court, and formerly of Blue Mt. Rd. in Saugerties, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the Kingston Hospital. Born February 5, 1940 in Saugerties he was the son of the late Pasquale and Ellen Scarselli. A lifetime area resident he owned and operated Pat’s Beer Coil Cleaners. A huge Yankee fan, he was a member of the Saugerties Bowler’s Club Sunday and Monday nite leagues. A musician he played guitar over the years with several groups including the first rock band in Ulster co. "The Strollers" and, “Country Club Band” with his brothers and cousin. He enjoyed bow hunting with his brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage, a daughter, Ellen Scarselli of Troy, a son, Albert Scarselli, Jr. of Cairo, a grandson, Joshua Scarselli of Albany, two brothers, Arthur of Mt. Marion and Pasquale Scarselli, Jr. of Saugerties and two sisters, Ellen Carpenter and Tanya DeLair. He was predeceased by a son, Robert and brothers, Joseph Bonelli, Anthony and Patrick Scarselli.
