WOODSTOCK - Arlene Raineri Wilson, 92, a long time resident of Woodstock New York passed away peacefully at the Mountain Manor on February 21,2024 with loved ones and adored caretakers at her side.
Born in Mamaroneck, New York on October 5, 1932, an avid golfer Arlene was a well known figure at the Woodstock Golf club and also Wiltwyck Golf club in Kingston NY. She won many championships and awards both in Ulster County Women's Golf Leagues and Ulster County Senior women's Leagues. Being a very ardent bowler, as well, Arlene created the first Junior Bowling League in Kingston NY and ran it teaching bowling for many years. Expert in swimming. as well, gave Arlene a chance to enjoy that sport spending at least three month every year with her husband in their other home in Englewood, Florida.
Survivors include her son, Scott Wilson of Englewood, Florida, granddaughters Stacy Downing Miller and her husband Reed of Greensboro, NC, Lindsey Downing of Burlington NC, Jennifer Krar and Erica Storms. ,
A nephew Kennth Pelicci of Englewood, Florida, four great-grandsons and numerous great nephews and nieces also survive. Arlene was predeceased by her husband Joseph Wilson whom she was married to for over 65 years and a daughter Gayle Wilson Downing who was tragically killed in an automobile accident at age 35.

A memorial gathering will be held May 19, 2024 at Savona's Next Door, 21 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401. Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc.
