Obituary
SAUGERTIES…. Audrey Rightmyer, 100, of Saugerties, NY. died Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Health Alliance Hospital, Mary’s Ave. with her children at her side Born April 6, 1922 in Brooklyn she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Dunbar. An Saugerties resident for over 75 years, she was a retired employee of Statewide Savings and Empire of America Bank in Saugerties.
A parishioner of St. Mary of the Snow RC Church she was a former member of St. Mary’s Rosary Society and the Girls Community Club.
Survivors include a son, Robert J. Rightmyer of Saugerties and a daughter, Karen (Edward) Hixson of Lake Clear, NY. Two sisters: Joan Nedell of Hicksville and Claire Bauer of AZ. Two grandsons: Edward (Jessica) Hixson and Christopher Hixson. Two great grandchildren: Cormac and Brynleigh Hixson. A daughter-in-law Sandra Rightmyer and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, daughter, Sandra, son, Barry Rightmyer and a brother, George Dunbar.
Audrey was an avid gardener loving her rose gardens, and love to read and do crossword puzzles.
Her Funeral Procession will form 10:30 AM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties thence to St. Mary of the Snow where at 11:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on Audrey’s Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
