Barbara P. Shultis

SAUGERTIES -  Barbara P. Shultis, 94, of Main St. and formerly of Washington Ave., died Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, NY.   Born October 8, 1931 in Saugerties she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred Massino Schuchhardt.  A lifelong area resident, Barbara was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughter's of the American Revolution.    She enjoyed the outdoors, especially in the Adirondacks, camping and gardening.   Predeceased by her husband, Richard, survivors include four sons: Robert "Gus" of Catskill,  Michael of Cairo, Rick of Saugerties and William Shultis of Saugerties.    A sister, Lou Ann Metzelaar of New Jersey, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. 

Her Funeral Service was held 11:30 AM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.   Friends were received from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM.   Spring Interment will be held in the Mt. View Cemetery, Saugerties.   Family suggests donations in her memory be made to a charity of one's choice.
