KINGSTON - Benjamin Kevin Bunnell, 42, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Ben was born January 5, 1983 in Binghamton NY, the son of Janet Bunnell and the late Kevin Bunnell. Remaining to cherish Ben’s memory are his mother Janet Bunnell, sister Chelsea Donlin, brother-in-law Jason Donlin, brother Bryan Bunnell, and nephew, Jackson Donlin. He will be missed by many cousins, uncles and aunts, friends and co-workers. Ben leaves behind two cats (or “fur daughters,” as he called them) Bella and Daisy, who will also miss him dearly.
Ben graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 2003. He was a dedicated worker for 18 years at Binghamton University until moving to Kingston and becoming a valued employee at Arc-supported program at Central-Hudson in New Paltz, New York, where he found his niche recycling machine parts.
As a child, Ben had a passion for seeing how things worked, and even occasionally put them back together correctly. He was an avid collector of all things mechanical, and had great pride in showing off his acquisitions and sharing his research on them. Ben had a deep love of family and tradition, often taking on the role of the family historian.
Friends will be received on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 6:00-7:00 PM with an opportunity to share memories from 7:00-8:00 PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. The family suggests donations in his memory be made to the Ulster County SPCA. Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on his Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com.
