Bernice Finkbeiner

SAUGERTIES - Bernice L. Finkbeiner, 99, of Robinson St., died Sunday, August 18, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on August 22, 1925 in Saugerties, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Grace (Wilcox) Finkbeiner.  

 A lifelong area resident, you may have seen her walking through town and visiting with neighbors, which she enjoyed very much. She loved children and babysat for many in her younger days. Bernice loved the Lord and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Rhinebeck.  Survivors include several nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews, as well as many friends who were like family and her faithful companion, her cat Shadow. 

In addition to her parents,  she was predeceased by her siblings:  Virginia Brudniak, Daisy Quick and Lewis R. Finkbeiner.

Her Funeral Service will be 10 am Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Rhinebeck, 9 Astor Dr., Rhinebeck. Burial will follow in the Mt.
