Betty J. Budik

SAUGERTIES.....Betty J. Budik, 81, of Kings Hwy., died Thursday, September 30, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born on February 21, 1940 to the late Roy and Melva Whitworth. For many years she worked as a clerk for the Daily Freeman Newspaper. Betty was a parishioner of St. John RC Church, a member of the Saugerties Columbiettes and Saugerties PTA. She was instrumental in establishing and volunteering at the Little League concessions at Cantine Field. Betty shared many good times with friends, bowling, gambling and playing Bingo. She was a Disney and Donald Duck Fanatic making yearly trips but most of all she cherished spending time with her family.

Betty was predeceased by her husband Frank; son, Jeff and sister, Sheila Whitworth. Survivors include daughters, Dawn Budik and Rebecca Eusepi; son, Kenny (Lynne) Budik, all of Saugerties; seven grandchildren, Frank Jeffrey Jr, Ashley, Dylan, Montgomery, Sierra, Stephanie, and Ashley Chontos; great grandchild, Fiona Emmy; daughter in law, Colleen and step father, Donald Simonsen. The family would like to thank Willcare nurses Leah and Donna who showed such compassion and friendship to Betty.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10am Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., cor. of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Burial will follow in the St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9pm on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
