Bruce Tucker Obituary

Bruce D. Tucker, 73, of Blue Mountain died in the Spring, (his  favorite time of year) on May 1,2025, in Hospice House, Poughkeepsie, from a  long-term illness of Alzheimer. Born March 11, 1952, in Kingston NY. He was  the son of the late Patricia O’Del and Edward Tucker Sr., of Saugerties.

Survivors include his wife Teresa Bach-Tucker, his son Scott Tucker (Christine Laura)  of Red Hook, his daughter, Michelle Tucker (Brandan Grech), of Saugerties, his  two step daughters, Beth Ann Sperl (Joe) of North Carolina, Heather Trumble  (A.J.) of Adirondacks, two step sons, Jeffrey Bach (Iliani), Charles Bach (Tori)  both of Saugerties and his ex-wife Susan Tucker.  14 Grandchildren, Makenna, Michael, David, Scott, Henry,  Kaitlin, Emma, James, Alton, Lucas, Joseph, C.J., Jaxson, and Willow.  His brothers, Ed, Phil, Donnie, Gerry and Kevin Tucker, his sisters  Joanne Rea and Laurie Tucker and many nieces and nephews, great nieces  and great nephews.

Bruce served his community in many ways. He was a firefighter from 1969-1981 with the  C.A. Lynch Hose Co. in Saugerties, a Cub Scout Leader, AYSO Coach, he  coached the Girls Softball League for 15 years, served on the Saugerties Central School  Board, and was a parishioner of St Mary’s of the Snow RC Church.

Bruce was employed in the Grocery Industry for 57 years, as a  Produce Manager.  Over the course of his career he worked for the Empire Market, the Grand Union, and the Price Chopper all of Saugerties, and Top’s Market, in Tannersville.

He was a man with a wonderful sense of humor and had down to earth  thinking. He was an avid fly fisherman, enjoyed hunting and took pride in keeping his lawn pristine. He had a love of gardens and lawn mowing he inherited  from his Grandmother O’Del and enjoyed it with his wife Teri.  He enjoyed a  good game of cards. Cheated at Monopoly (not really but we harassed him because he knew the rules inside out). But most importantly he was a loving,  caring, protective family man who loved his family dearly and was proud to call Saugerties home.

His Funeral Service will be held 6:00 PM Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties  Friends may call Thursday from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM.  Private Interment will be held in the Blue Mt.
