ITHACA…. Chester Schaff, 72, formerly of Spaulding Lane, Saugerties died, March 4, 2021 at the Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca. Born July 19, 1948 in Saugerties he was the son of the late Chester and Edna Schaff. An area resident for many years he was a former employee of Benson Steel, Dominic Iron Works in Highland and in later years he and his wife owned and operated Mt. Malt and Hop Shop in Lake Katrine.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two step children, Kevin and his wife Jessica Shaw and Laurene and her husband Gregory Payton brother, Raymond and his wife, Carol Schaff; nephew Raymond Schaff Jr.; niece Carole Jean Murphy and step grandchildren, Lucas, Millie and Kaya.
His Service of Remembrance will be held 5:00 PM Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. Of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Friends will be received Friday 4:00-5:00 PM.
