Clifford F. Breithaupt

SAUGERTIES….. Clifford F. Breithaupt, 93, of Simmons Dr. died Monday, February 20, 2023 at home surrounded by family.   Born August 3, 1929 in Glasco he was the son of the late Frederick and Ethel Wolven Breithaupt.  A veteran of the US Army he served during the Korean War.  He was employed for many years as a heavy equipment operator for Local #825.

Active in the community, Cliff was a member of the Glasco Fire Company, the Saugerties Fire Department and the Saugerties Exempts Fireman’s Association. 

Survivors include his wife, of 72 years, the former Carolyn “Dolly” Misasi, a son, Brian (Debra) Breithaupt and a daughter, Carol Ann (Raymond) Mayone.  His grandchildren: Matthew and his wife, Kathy Breithaupt, Raymond Mayone and his fiancée,Alexis, and Kevin and his wife, Suzanne Mayone.  Great grandchildren Luca Clifford and Caterina Ruth Mayone.    His sister, Ella (Frank) Erceg and a brother, Gerald Breithaupt and several nieces and nephews also survive.  He was predeceased by his siblings: Ward, Kenneth, Jack Breithaupt, Ethel Gilmore, Dorothy Flanigan, Olive Minkler, and Jean Sparling.

His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.   Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.    Family suggests donations in his memory be made to the Glasco Fire Co., Diaz Ambulance or Hospice.  Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on Cliff’s Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
