SAUGERTIES…. Conchetta A. “Connie” Quinlan, 71, of Garden Circle died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. Born February 7, 1951 in Kingston she was the daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Ruspoli Porto. Predeceased by her husband, John in 2020, survivors include a daughter, Debra and her husband, Steve Rauschendorfer of Glasco, two sons: Sean and his wife, Katrina Quinlan of Saugerties and Michael and his wife, Nicole Quinlan of Poughquag, six beloved grandchildren, Stefan and Sondra Rauschendorfer, Julia and Jack Quinlan and James and Sarah Quinlan. A sister, Debra and husband Paul Legg of West Camp and dear friends Hank and Charlene Vanderbeck. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Connie was employed by M&T Bank as a teller for many years. A lifetime area resident, Connie grew up in Glasco, NY - but spent many summers with her family on the beautiful gulf coast of Mississippi. She lived family first, especially when it came to her grandchildren. Whether it was time sharing a meal, a dance recital, watching a soccer game or going to a Broadway show. Connie always encouraged those to take on every opportunity that came there way.
Connie was famous for her cheesecake as well as her knitting. Rest assured if someone was expecting a baby there was a blanket in the making. She also enjoyed days in the garden. A lover of all animals, she even bred Labradors.
She always greeted everyone with a smile and adored all of her children's friends and welcomed them like family. Her thoughtfulness and friendship will never be forgotten.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of the angels at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home who took such loving care of her.
The family suggests donations be made in her memory to the UPENN FTD Foundation, St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or Ulster County SPCA.
Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends will be received on Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM. Expressions of condolence may be shared with Connie’s Family on her Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
