WOODSTOCK…..Darryl Degraff 10/3/1957 to 6/16/2022, also known as “Old Man” from a young age, was the third generation raised in a house that belonged to his grandparents on Montoma, known today as Ohayo Mountain where he resided most of his life with his mom Ethyl Bonestell and dad Clyde Degraff Sr., until moving to Davenport, NY. Darryl was predeceased by his brothers and sister Clyde, Peter, Merritt, and Lynn, his partner Jackie and her daughter and her son Thomas. Darryl is survived by his girlfriend Laurie Fingar, his Aunt Elizabeth Wilkins, Sister-in-Law Irene Degraff and nephews and nieces Ritchie, Danny, Thomas, Lorayne DeGraff and Donna Post, Michael, Gregg and Brian Madsen, great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and lots of cousins. Darryl took great pride in his family.
Darryl, a self-proclaimed “gear head”, loved motors, fixing things, and the great outdoors. Darryl was an avid motorcyclist, Mopar enthusiast and vintage American pickup truck connoisseur. Darryl was an avid antique glass hunter with a collection of over 2,000 bottles and relics. Darryl was a skilled carpenter and could fix anything with anything. Darryl enjoyed the simple things and simple life. He was a kind calm soul and always looked for the best in people. He took care of people and pets with love and kindness, especially his constant companion, Doobie, his dog. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
A Memorial Visitation will be held, Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & LaFayette Sts., in Saugerties from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Expressions of condolence may be shared with his family on Darryl’s Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
