SAUGERTIES…. Donald E. Shaw, 92, of Main St. died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born June 9, 1928 in Hartford, CT. he was the son of the late Leon and Claire Shaw. A veteran of the US Army, he served during the Korean War. An area resident since 1955, he formerly lived in West Hurley. Employed by IBM in Kingston for over 35 years, he retired in 1992. Don enjoyed racing stock cars and was titled points champion in Rhinebeck for several seasons. He also owned a television repair business and spent his free time riding his Harley motorcycle. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club and the Saugerties American Legion Post #72.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lorraine, a daughter, Pam Fabiano and her companion Jerry Mitnick of Saugerties, two sons: William of Saugerties and Eric and his wife Cathy of Connelly. Four granddaughters: Shana and Shelby Fabiano, Samantha and Rebecca Shaw, one great grandson, Brody Fabiano and family in Canada. He was predeceased by a brother, Leon Shaw.
His Funeral Service will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. Of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.
