Donna Whitaker Obituary
Our dear mother Donna Boss Whitaker left us to be with her beloved Ray on June 09, 2023 at the young age of 72 surrounded by family. Donna was born on July 12th 1950 and resided in Saugerties with Ray for 41 years. She graduated from BOCES and began her Nursing career in 1969 until she retired after more than 40 years of service. She will be sadly missed in our hearts as well as the Nursing community. Her passion, besides her grandchildren, was nursing. She is survived by two daughters Jodi (Dave) Whitaker McClernan of Burnt Hills, NY and Stacie (Jason) Whitaker Cipparone of Hi-Nella, NJ, six grandsons, Austin, Cody, Connor, Kyle, Shane, Logan, one granddaughter Erin, one brother Kenneth Boss, best friends Bob and Joanne Kleemann, several cousins, nieces and nephews.. “A hundred struggle and drown in the breakers. One discovers the new world. Rather, ten times, die in the surf heralding the way to a new world, than stand idly on the shore.”
Her Celebration of Life will be held Monday July 31st at 1:30 pm at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc corner of John and Lafayette Street, Saugerties. Friends may visit prior to the service from 12 pm - 1:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Samaritan Hospice Care.
