SAUGERTIES….. Dorothy M. Myer, 92, of Rte. 212 died Saturday, February 25, 2023 at her residence surrounded by family. Born April 7, 1930 in Saugerties she was the daughter of the late Renwick and Mildred Benjamin Schoonmaker. A lifelong area resident she was employed for many years as a home health aide.
Predeceased by her husband, Mitchell in 2018, survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Gerhard) Benzenhoefer of Malden on Hudson; three sons, Mitchell (Karen) of Saugerties, Kevin (Shannon) of Virgina and David (Jenifer) Myer of Saugerties; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Kevin, Eric, Amanda, Adam, Gerhard and Tim; two great grandchildren, Anderson and Talia; siblings, Rosalia Touart, John "Jack" Schoonmaker and Leita Becker and several nieces and nephews.
