SAUGERTIES - Edwina M. "Penny" Sabatino, 92, of Simmons St. passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, in her sleep at home.
Born November 25, 1932 in Walden, NY she was the daughter of the late James and Myrtle Penney. Penny as she was known to her family and friends worked in quality control for various manufacturing companies. She liked cooking, family gatherings, her plants and flowers. She was blessed with a keen wit and terrific sense of humor. Penny had unwavering love of her children.
Predeceased by her first husband, John M. "Sookie" Silinovich, Sr., her son, John M. Silinovich, Jr., and her grandchildren, Kim Meiswinkle, Jason Silinovich, and Julianna Silinovich. Survivors include her second husband of 50 years, Edmond Sabatino, Sr., Two daughters: Barbara Garland and Deborah (Joe) Zibella, five sons: Gary (Lorna), Silinovich, Mark "Doc" (Bonnie) Silinovich, Daniel (Arlene) Silinovich, Frank Silinovich, and Edmond (Kelly) Sabatino, Jr., 21 Grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, January 4th from 12- 2 PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.
