Eileen A. Gunn

SAUGERTIES…. Eileen A. Gunn, 86 of West Saugerties Road died Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Golden Hill Nursing Home.   Born November 20, 1937 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Rose M. Farley Gunn.   Eileen grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from St. Brendan’s High School.   Upon relocating to Saugerties she became a parishioner of St. John’s the Evangelist RC Church in Centerville, NY.

She worked at Chase Manhattan Bank as a bank teller in the city.  She moved upstate and worked at Rotron Manufacturing Company, John Rapp Van Lines and the Town of Saugerties Supervisors office.  She loved being around family, friends, and hearing all about their   accomplishments.  She was predeceased by Rosemary Lorentz and Donald Lorentz sister and brother in-law, Edward J. and Nancy Gunn brother and sister in-law, Joseph J. Comito, brother in-law and Fr. Francis X. Gunn brother.  She is survived by Patricia Shirley, sister, Joan and George Carr, sister and brother in-law and Lorraine Comito sister. She has many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews that she loved and enjoyed spending time with all of them.

Her Funeral Procession will form 9:30 AM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties thence to St. Mary of the Snow RC Church where at 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.  Friends will be received on Thursday 7-9 PM.   Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on Eileen’s Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
