Eleanor Teitter , 94 formerly of Elm St. died peacefully July 22, 2025. She was born March 1, 1931 in Saugerties, daughter of the late John and Juliana Kinzelmann. Eleanor was well loved and known for all her beautiful crocheted afghans she gifted to people She also had been an active member of the Lamouree-Hacket American Legion Auxiliary Post #72. Eleanor served as a polling inspector for many years.
Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Philip)Butta of Saugerties, and Sharon (Joe) Staccio of Saugerties;
sister Bertha (David) Heiden of Endwell; seven grandchildren, Cheryl (Michael Cooper) Staccio, Jeremy (Eva) Staccio, Emily Martin, Amanda Martin, Brian (Jenna) Martin, Jr., Nick (Aleasha) Butta, and Christina (Matthew) Butta; four great grandchildren, Ellana Jade Cooper, Ella Rae Makayla Cooper, Dallas and Alexander Butta, a cousin, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Edward in 1998, a son, John and a sister Julia Hull, two brothers John & Robert Kinzelmann.
Her Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday from 7-9 PM. Family suggests donations in her memory be made to her favorite charity, Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
