Florence C. Krauss

SAUGERTIES - Florence C. Krauss, 79, of Emerick Rd. died Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her family.   Born January 2, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Harold and Florence Hessle.  An area resident since 1989 she previously resided in Queens.  For several years she was employed at Sawyer Savings Bank, where she created many connections within the community.    She was a member of the Saugerties Wednesday morning Bowlers League. While being part of the Bowlers League, she made long lasting friendships with the women in her league, where they would all bond over their families' momentous occasions and milestones. Flo took much pride in entertaining the ones she loved at her and her husband Ken’s home, which they called their “oasis”.  She also had treasured memories of her trips to Saratoga and cruises to Bermuda with her loving Husband Ken, and beloved Sister Harriet.   She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, the most supportive mother, and a grandmother who loved her grandchildren “whole world and more…..”

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth, two sons: Kevin (Macy) and Jason (Carly) Krauss both of Saugerties.  Five grandchildren: Kaden, Mackenzie, Camryn, Riley and Carson Krauss.   She was predeceased by a sister and best friend, Harriet Farley.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.   Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.   Friends will be received on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.    Expressions of condolence may be shared with Florence's Family on her Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
