GEORGE EDWIN ADAMS JR (1972-2024)
George, "Jumper" Adams, 51, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, in the Saratoga Hospital, following a thirty-year plight after a 1993 motorcycle accident. He was born in Kingston to the late, George and Lurline Adams. Jumper attended Trinity Baptist School in Woodstock NY before continuing at Crosby Elementary, Miller Junior High, and Kingston High School. He was an avid tinkerer with all things containing a motor & grease - mini-bikes, dirt bikes, motorcycles, ATVs, old cars - and working at his maternal grandfather's junkyard which gave him (and his grandfather) tremendous pleasure. He operated a tow truck in the Kingston / Saugerties area prior to his 1993 incapacitation.
Jumper is preceded in death by his father George E. Adams (1974), by his maternal & paternal grandparents, and numerous aunts & uncles. He is survived by his mother, Lurline Adams of Saugerties NY, his sister Mystina Vogel (Kevin) of Reidville SC, his brother Dalton Crantek (Ivana) of Hurley NY, and four nieces: Madison Gervasi, Olivia Vogel, Victoria Vogel, and Leonora Crantek. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His Funeral Service will be held privately with a celebration of life to be scheduled around his birthday in June. Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
There will be a private cremation, with a celebration of life to be scheduled around his birthday this coming June.
