Gerard S. "Gerry" Brice

GLENFORD - Gerard S. "Gerry" Brice, 91, of Old Rte. 28, died Saturday at the Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home.

Born April 12, 1935 in Saugerties he was the son of the late Stephen and Frances Keenan Brice.   A Veteran of the Korean War he served in the US Army.  He was employed as a Manager for NY Telephone for 35 years retiring in 1990.    An avid golfer he was a member of the Woodstock Golf Club and enjoyed fishing all the streams in the Catskill Mountains.  PreHe was a member and Past President of the Saugerties Lions Club, Past President and member of the Lake Hill Sportsman Club, the Saugerties Fish and Game Club,  Saugerties American Legion Post #72 and he was inducted into the Saugerties Sports Hall of Fame.

The Patriarch of his family he was predeceased by his siblings Anne Vitek, Barry and Charles Brice as well as his first wife, Sondra Sickler in 2012 and Linda Brice in 2021.  Survivors include his daughter, Donna Boyce of Lake Hill, a son, Leonard (Cheri) Brice of Glenford, a grandson, Jasen (Ami) Boyce, a step daughter, Lisa (Brian Ralph) Howe, a sister, Mary Brice of Saugerties and a former spouse, Bonnie McCaig.  Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

His Funeral Procession will form 9:15 am Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties thence to St. Mary of the Snow RC Church where at 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.  Friends will be received on Wednesday 4-6:00 PM.
