Henry John Altschuh

Henry John Altschuh, 55, of Mt. Marion died Wednesday May 10, 2023 in Kingston. He was born December 11, 1967 in Brooklyn, son of June Ampel Altschuh, and the late Richard Altschuh.  An area resident most of his life, he was a graduate of Saugerties High School. He was a talented carpenter and had worked many years for Miron Truss, as well as being self-employed. Henry had a keen interest in fixing and tinkering with classic cars.  He also was a motorcycle enthusiast. Above all, he was a family man, and the greatest Dad.
     Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife Donna Cooper Altschuh, daughter Makenzie, brother William, sisters: Bonnie(Jerry) Vastola, Tabatha(Fred Carney III) Altschuh, Mother & Father-in-law Fred and Anna Smith, Brother-in-laws: Rich (Paula) Cooper Jr., Michael(Kim) Smith, Sister-in-laws: Angela(Tim) Doyle, Bonnie(Ron)Smith, and several nieces and nephews also survive.   Henry was Godfather to: Mya Riley, Joseph Altschuh, and Sean Ingrassia. He was predeceased by his Father Richard, brother Richard, and brother-in-law Scott Smith .
     A Vigil Prayer will be offered Monday evening at 8:30 pm at the Seamon- Wilsey Funeral Home 45 John St. Saugerties.  Friends will be received at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-8:30 pm.
