Ingrid E. Marro

SAUGERTIES – Ingrid E. Marro, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 05, 2023 at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation and Extended Care in Highland.

She was born in Hamburg, Germany and was the daughter of the late Heinrich and Gertrud Carstensen. Ingrid came to the United States as a young woman and was naturalized in 1963. She met and married the love of her life, Pasquale Marro from Troy, NY. They settled in Saugerties for many years. Ingrid enjoyed flowers and cooking. She enjoyed bringing family and friends together. Ingrid was a member of the Saugerties Women’s Club and volunteered at the local food pantry. She loved her time at the beach with family and friends in Ocean City, NJ.

Ingrid is the devoted wife of the late Pasquale Marro. She is the beloved mother of Susan (David) Heberle. She is the cherished Grandmother (Omi) of Jake, Maya, and Oren Heberle. Ingrid is the sister of Helga Frolich and the late Gisela and Heinz.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ingrid’s family on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Seamon Wilsey Funeral Home,  corner of John & Lafayette St. Saugerties. Graveside services will be Friday at 12 noon at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
