Irma Reynolds, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on February 2, 1940, in New York City, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Irma Kruger Schlegel.
Irma's early years in the bustling city laid the foundation for a life filled with love and hard work. Irma's journey led her to the love of her life, Gerald Reynolds, with whom she built a beautiful family. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life until Gerald's passing.
Irma's legacy is carried on by her devoted children, Donna Reynolds of Kingston and Kenneth Reynolds of Palenville. Her brother, Ernest Schlegel, also survives her, as do her three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who were the light of her life. She was known as the favorite fun aunt by many of them. Irma was predeceased not only by her parents and her loving husband but also by her sister, Doris Pompillio, and her brother, William Schlegal.
Professionally, Irma dedicated many years as a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid in Catskill, where she was known for her meticulous care and warm rapport with customers. Her colleagues remember her as a reliable and compassionate presence, always ready with a helping hand or a kind word.
Irma's interests were a reflection of her love for connection and adventure. She found great joy in playing board games and Uno with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Her passion for travel took her to sandy beaches and across the seas on cruises, each voyage an opportunity to explore and embrace the world's beauty.
As per Irma's wish we will not be having any services but will be having a celebration of life at a later date. Please contact the family for further details.
