Obituary

SAUGERTIES.... Jacqueline L. Cuomo, 90, of Main St., died Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Wingate Nursing Facility i n Highland.  Born October 29, 1930 in Ghent, NY she was the daughter of the late Walter and Louise Remmler.  
     Jackie spent her childhood years in Alsace, Lorraine, France with her mother and uncle earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY.   She was employed for many years as a social worker in the city of White Plains.  A Saugerties resident for the past few years she formerly resided in New Windsor.  She loved to travel and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority while attending SLU.
     Predeceased by her husband, Paul in 2007, survivors include a son, Peter and his wife Lori Cuomo of VA., two daughters, Pam and her husband, Nick Steyer of Saugerties and Melinda and her husband, James Kennedy of Coxsackie.  A sister, Livia Rosman of CA. and brother, Harold Remmler of MA., eight grandchildren: James Kennedy, Nickolas (Maura), Logan, Casey (Desiree Hartrum) Steyer, Juliana (Evan Richards), Kylie, Lexi and Mattie Rose Cuomo.
     Her Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Friday at St. Mary of the Snow RC Church in Saugerties.  Family suggests donations in her memory be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, nbcf.org.   Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc.
