James Buchan Obituary
SAUGERTIES - James Buchan, 67, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was born on February 10, 1958, in Kingston, NY to the late James and Mary Falk Buchan. A proud graduate of the Saugerties High School Class of 1976, Jim spent his summer month's riding his Harley's in the Catskill Mountains. He had a passion for gardening and keeping busy with home projects.
James's life was enriched by his beloved wife, Debbie Trabold, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. Jim had two step children, Kerri (Jovan), Jay (Jen). Grandfather to Janelle, Aaliyah, Angelo, Zack and Caitlynn. He is also survived by his sister, Judith LeBorgue(Buchan)(Yves) from France and two nephews, John and Christopher also from France. Jim will be sadly missed by several great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
His Service of Remembrance will be held 12 Noon on Sunday, October 12, 2O25 at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.
