James Dougherty Obituary
SHADY - Jim "Doc" Dougherty passed away on April 27, 2026 after a long fight with multiple health problems. He was born in Brooklyn to the late Jim and Catherine Dougherty. He is survived by his wife, Gail Dougherty; son, Chris Dougherty; sister, Pat Crawford; step daughters, Cheryl, Doreen and Karen; many grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was a banker, real estate broker and in 2008 he went into business, Lender Associate Solutions, with his life long friend John "Cub" Walsh. The business continued profitably until he was hospitalized in October of 2024. He was a member of Co#3 Lake HIll Fire Dept where he served as a treasurer for many years. He also met his friends for breakfast every Thursday. They called themselves "ROMEO" Really Old Men Eating Out. A celebration of life and funeral service will be held at Shady Methodist Church at a later date. Condolences may be shared with the family at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
