Obituary

KINGSTON...James "Jimmy" D. Lane, 75, of Hill Rd., passed away May 2, 2022 at the Vassar Brothers Hospital. He was born in Wittenberg, NY on October 19, 1946 to the late Leslie and Eileen Bonesteel Lane. He was a master mechanic and worked many years at the Bearsville Garage in Woodstock, NY. He enjoyed his scratch-off tickets and never stopped dreaming of hitting it big. Jimmy loved country drives and country music, but most of all his wood stove. Many friends and family knew to wear summer clothes to his home in the middle of winter.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Katherine; children, Toni (Carl) Mikesh of Kerhonkson and James Lane Jr. of Franklin, KY; grandchildren, Danielle (Brian) Hoornbeek, April (Jordan) Shope, Carissa (Luis) Rosa and Tara Lane; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Peter Lane; brother in law, Joseph (Denise) Clark; friends, Debbie and Alfred Sylvester and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Jeffrey Lane and sister, Penny Stisi.

Arrangements are under the supervision of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., Saugerties. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Further obituary information and expressions of condolence may be shared at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
