James Rushmore Obituary

ATHENS -  James E. "Jim" Rushmore, 68, of Schoharie Tpk. died Thursday, August 22, 2024.   Born February 21, 1956 in Hudson he was the son of the late Rodney and Shirley Rushmore.   A graduate of Germantown High School where he was born and raised he was formerly employed with Bard College for over 25 years.  When not working thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren, camping, working on his John Deere tractor and the NY Yankees.  

Survivors include his wife, Janie, two sons: Richard "Diggy" (Rebecca) Mayr and Jim (Jessica) Rushmore.  Four grandchildren: Kimberly (Keith), Dylan, Rylee and Alyssa, a great grandchild on the way and several nieces and nephews also survive.

His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.

Burial will follow in the Blue Mt. Cemetery.   Friends will be received on Sunday from 3PM-6PM.  Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
