James Sutkus Obituary
KINGSTON - James R. "Jim" Sutkus, 70, of TenBroeck Ave. died Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born June 11, 1955 in Wilkes Barre, PA he was the son of the late Melvin and Nancy Sutkus. A graduate of Saugerties High School, Jim was employed for over 43 years at Kosco Oil. An avid NY Yankees, Phillies and Green Bay Packers fan, Jim liked to hike, fish, camp, cycle on rail trails, and do woodworking projects.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, the former Kathleen Boice; daughter, Sarita and her husband Ken Hammond of UT; son, Michael and his wife Stacey Bunyar of MA; five grandchildren, Braxton, Alex, Lia, Miles and Ryann; cousin, Kathy Romiski and her children, Katie and Vickie.
His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The family would like to thank the caring professionals at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck.
