Janice M. Ferraro

SAUGERTIES - Janice (Purves) Ferraro, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025.  Janice was the only child of Constance and Kenneth Purves.  She attended St. Ursula's Academy in Kingston where she made lifelong friends who gathered annually to reminisce about the Sisters/Nuns who helped shape their lives.

A graduate of Albany Business College her secretarial career began in banking, moving on to working for an attorney.  She then transitioned to employment for Dyno Nobel.    She retired from the Town of Saugerties Building Dept.   She cherished the friendships she made along the way.

Janice is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Arthur, her daughter, Debbie Ferraro, son, Anthony and his wife, Ellen, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Janice's greatest joys were her 60 year marriage, her children, grandchildren and friendships.

Her Funeral Service will be held 8:00 PM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 7-8 PM.  Family suggests donations in her memory be made to the American Foundation for the Blind.  Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on Janice's Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
