SAUGERTIES.....Janice Whitaker, 90, of Rte. 212, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Mid Hudson Regional Hospital. Born October 24, 1930 in Brooklyn she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jeannette Baumann. Janice began a long career in health care at the Caledonian Hospital in Brooklyn before moving to Saugerties where she was employed at various area hospitals and later as a home health aide.
Predeceased by her husband, Hugh and two sons, Philip and David Whitaker and infant daughter Shirley Whitaker. survivors include a grand daughter, Donna Whitaker of Amsterdam. Several nieces and nephews also survive
Her Funeral Procession will form 10:15 AM Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties thence to the Atonement Lutheran Church, Market St. where at 11:00 AM her Funeral Service will be conducted. Friends will be received Friday 7-9 PM at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home.. Burial will be in the Blue Mt. Cemetery.
