Jason “Jay” Charles Reimers unexpectedly passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024.
Born October 22, 1986 in Kingston, NY to his parents Charles and Doreen Reimers. Two years and one day later he would be joined by his younger brother, Eric Reimers. Jason was known to excel at school, was a volunteer firefighter with Saugerties Fire Department, as well as involved with the Key Club, French Club, a Math Club, was the treasure for the bowling club, and an honor student. Jason went on to pursue his academics at Clarkson University. During this time Jason excelled in many subjects but grew a passion for software engineering. Jason later secured an internship at New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), where he worked for over ten years. Jason most recently worked with Ernst and Young in the Capital Region.
Jason was an avid lover of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies. Sharing this passion with his late father. Jason also had a beautiful talent for photography. He often showcased yearly portraits of his children, who he loved more than anything and loved being their father.
He is survived by his two children, Juliana Reimers, and Noah Reimers; his former wife, Katie Reimers; his brother Eric Reimers, his wife Megan Reimers, and nephew Aiden Reimers; his grandfather Marco Paollilo and Partner Roe Mastropaolo; several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his loving mother, Doreen Reimers. He is predeceased by his Father, Charles Reimers.
His Funeral Service will be held 10 am Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. Burial to follow in the St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday.
