Jeanette L. Sauer

MT. MARION -  Jeanette L. Sauer, 95, of Kings Highway died Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.  Born Oct. 26, 1929 in Kingston she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Eason.  A lifelong resident of the area, she graduated from SUNY New Paltz and worked as an elementary school teacher before she owned and operated Sauer Farm with her late husband, Joseph Sauer.  She enjoyed greeting her farm customers and they became her friends.  Jeanette loved music and enjoyed playing piano and singing.  She often invited her customers to sing along as she played. She also enjoyed drawing and painting, and would often gift her hand-made cards to customers. 

Survivors include two daughters: Catherine Hangate of Mass. and Susan (Victor) Sachar of Mt. Marion.  Three sons: Richard (Mary Ellen Boice), Joseph and Clifford Sauer all of Mt. Marion.   16 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc., Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Burial will follow in the Mt.
