SAUGERTIES...John Amodio, 71, of Red Maple Rd., died Wednesday September 6, 2023 surrounded by family at the Northern Dutchess Hospital. He was born in Bronx, NY on May 3, 1952 to the late Michael and Theresa Centore Amodio. He attended Mt Vernon High School in 1970 and followed a family trade of an electrical workers. He raised his young family in Levittown Long Island before moving them to Saugerties in 1993 while still commuting to work in Manhattan. He eventually retired from IBEW Local 3 in 2010 where he worked for over 35 years from an apprentice all the way to foreman electrician. He enjoyed fishing, espresso, golf, going on cruise ship vacations and watching his favorite football team the Eagles.
Survivors include his wife Christine Amodio; children, Dominick (Melissa) Amodio, Brendan (Tara) Amodio and Casey (Mark Pilz) Amodio; grandchildren, Matthew, Natalia, Shaymus and Jonas and his siblings, Pamela, Peter, Michael and Janice. He was predeceased by his sister, Janet.
His Funeral Service will be held Monday 5:30pm at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Visitation will be prior to service from 3-5:30 pm. A memorial Tribute Book will be organized using photos and condolences shared with the family
