John Finger

SAUGERTIES….. John D. Finger, 78, of Mt. Airy Rd. died suddenly Friday, March 19, 2021 at his residence.   Born December 15, 1942 in Teaneck, NJ he was the son of the late Douglas and Dorothy Finger.   An area resident for many years he was retired from both Amos Post in Catskill and later from the Saugerties Central Schools Maintenance Department.  
John was a Past President and member of the Saugerties Blue Kats Mens Club and the current President of the Blue Mountain Cemetery Board.   He was a former member of the Saugerties Ridge Runners and the Saugerties Dartball League.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen; son, Michael (Patricia) Finger of Accord; sister, Audrey Steenburn of Glenmont;  brother, Wesley (Jill) Finger of Saugerties; grandson, Alexander Finger several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his son, Steven Finger in 2001; sister, Lois Kimble and brother, William Finger.  
His Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Interment will follow in Blue Mountain Cemetery.  Friends will be received Tuesday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM  Face masks and social distancing rules to be observed.   Further obituary information and expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on John’s Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
