STATEN ISLAND - John Robert Prosser, 78, of Laconia Ave., died Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the Clove Lakes Nursing Facility. He was born in Bronx, NY on December 10, 1945. Throughout his life he enjoyed working in roofing and waterproofing and also his favorite was the bars, taking bets, & chasing woman! He didn’t only pass the bar exams. He fell over the bar a few times! His nickname throughout his life was Littlejohn!
Survivors include his 3rd wife Ellyn Nesland of Kingston and his children, Christine-Albert Brigandi of Staten Island, Robert-Lauren Ayers of the Bronx, Thomas Ayers of Cairo, John-Sonia Speed Prosser of Cairo, Lisa Prosser of Kingston, Janyce Hess Prosser of Kingston and Patricia Halter of Kingston! John is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren!
His Funeral Service will be held 10 am Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, corner of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery.
