Josephine Carpino

LAKE KATRINE...Josephine A. Carpino, 96, of Schuler Lane, died Thursday, April 21, 2022 at home surrounded by family. She was born in East Kingston on December 4, 1925 to the late Peter and Josephine (LaRocca) Rua.  At an early age she developed a love for fashion and became an excellent seamstress.   She worked at Danica Fashions on Main St., Saugerties performing alterations.  She was a homemaker and also enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially Italian food, which often brought friends and family together over the years. 
 
Josephine was the loving mother of Henry (Jane) Carpino of Ulster Park and Michele Atkins of Hurley; caring grandmother to Amber (Adam) Zananski, Drew (Caitlin) Carpino, Jesse and Gregory Atkins; great grandmother of Jesselia, Samara and Mack Owen. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, Sr. in 1990.  She was  predeceased by her loving brothers, James, Henry, Frank, Peter, Anthony, and Frank Sr. and her dear sisters, Rose, Marie, and Teresa.
 
Her Funeral Procession will form Tuesday 9:15 a.m. at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Procession will continue to St. Colman RC Church for a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass.
