Joyce A. Penka

Joyce A. Patterson Penka of Saugerties, New York, daughter of the late John and Jessamine Patterson, died peacefully November 12, 2022 with the love of her family and friends in her heart.  Joyce spent her time being adventure bound or painting the surroundings she adored in her lifetime.  Mother and grandmother to her family and beloved wife to late husband Sidney H. Penka.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Kerensa A. (Rini) and Scott Demarest, grandson and wife Jacob and Christina Demarest and grandson Mathew Demarest.  Her brother Jack (Nancy) Patterson of Croghan, NY and sister Sherry (Robert) Francello of Saugerties, NY.  Several nieces and nephews and cousins through out will all remember her fondly. Special thanks to the nursing staff members at Ten Broeck Commons for their compassionate care. 

Her Funeral Service will be held 10 am Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. Burial will follow in the Blue Mt. Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Ulster County SPCA.
