Juanita C. Knisell

SAUGERTIES…. Juanita C. Knisell, 83, of Village Drive and formerly of Charles Smith Rd.,  died Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the Kingston Hospital.  Born December 28, 1937 in Callicoon, New York she was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Knack) Meyer.  

 
An area resident for many years she was a member of the Katsbaan Reformed Church. She was very active with the church and served for many years as President of the Katsbaan Ladies Aide.  She enjoyed cross word and jigsaw puzzles and was a fan of Jeopardy.

Juanita was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1984; a son Robert and his wife Darlene; a grandson, Robert Knisell, Jr. and a sister Iona Swierc.  Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Knisell of Catskill and Edith Knisell of Saugerties; a son, Arthur and his wife Kim Knisell of Malden; six grandchildren: Jody (Jim) Keator, Adrienne (Dan) Miller, Megan, Oksana, Colton and Graeme Knisell; two great grandchildren; a sister, Dolores Wells of Tilson and several nieces and nephews. 

Her Funeral Procession will form 9:15 AM Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. Of John & Lafayette Sts. Saugerties thence to the Katsbaan Reformed Church where at 10:00 AM her Funeral Service will be conducted.  Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  Burial will be in the Katsbaan Cemetery.   Family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA.  30309.  Further obituary information and expressions of condolence may be shared with Juanita’s Family on her Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
