Kathleen Anne Ball

SAUGERTIES… Kathleen A. Ball, 69, of Old Stage Rd. died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 surrounded by her family at home.  Born July 27, 1951 in Waltham, MA., she was the daughter of the late Philip and Joan Sullivan.

Kathy was a long time area resident and graduated from Kingston High School.  Following high school she attended Ulster Community College and became a Registered Nurse.  She felt her true calling was in being a wife, mother and homemaker, and in that she was a great success.  She and her husband built their dream home and moved to Saugerties in 1976 to raise their growing family.  A parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Glasco for many years, she was a woman of great faith, and this was evident to all those who knew her.  She will be remembered as a beautiful, strong and loving person who approached her life with vigor and passion.

Survivors include her husband, William H. Ball III, and their children, William (Donica), Alison, Daniel (Sylvi), Caitlyn (Rob), Andrew, Jacqueline, David and Gabrielle Ball.  She was a beloved grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Zachary, Maureen, Lauren, James, Daniel, Edith and Percy Ball, and a great grandson, Finnegan. She is also survived by her siblings and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Sullivan and an infant son, Daniel Michael Ball.

Friends will be received on Sunday 1-5 pm at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, corner of John & Lafayette Streets. Her Funeral Procession will form 9:45 am Monday and proceed to St. Mary of the Snow in Saugerties, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30AM.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Barclay Heights.
